New SageMC looks good

I have a confession; for the last month or so I've been using the default STV in Sage.  It took some getting used to, but I was seduced by all the flexibility, options and simple navigation.  But a new version of SageMC just came out and it's looking really slick (been missing the mini-guide and video categories too), I going to have to give it a whirl.

OK.  I gotta ask.  I know you said flexibility, options and simple naviagation.  Can you be more specific on what you liked about the standard STV?  Just curious what draws people that way ;)

I like options, and there are options all over the place in the default stv.

It's not completely vanilla; the comskip, dynamic menus, and meta data stvi are installed and I have the advanced options enabled.

Specific things that I like:

- screens are simple, but still contain a lot of information

- navigation is intuitive, and where it's not there are text hints

- intelligent filtering; works like choosing a name in many voicemail systems

- most things are customizable (font size, row/column counts, etc)

- easy to create alternative views for TV (wish this were true for videos)

I don't know how many of these things (or others) that I like about the default stv are in SageMC.  The biggest thing that made me stop using it was the depth of navigation, it took too many "clicks" to get to where I wanted to go, and if I made a mistake it was hard[er] to get back.
